Our client has an opening in its Woodcliff Lake, NJ office for a Solution Architect.
Position: Solution Architect ( JAVA )
Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Duration: 6-12+ Months

Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in Object-Oriented software design and development
• 5+ years of experience in Web application design and development
• 3+ years of experience leading other Developers
• Expert technical skills in Java / J2EE , XML, XSLT, and related technologies and protocols
• Expert knowledge of Open Source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
• Expert skills in Object-Oriented software design
• Expert skills in SQL and database design
• Expert knowledge of traditional SDLC
• Familiarity with AS400/iSeries, Db2 database
• Familiarity with AJAX techniques and modern JavaScript libraries
• Familiarity with RESTful protocols, Web Services, and SOAP
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies
• Understanding of functional languages
• Understanding of logistics services and systems
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work within and simultaneously lead a team
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area of study
Responsibilities Include:
• Lead a team of developers including employees, on-site consultants, and off-site consultants
• Develop and document technical requirements and solutions
• Lead regular design and code reviews
• Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of Web applications including Web Operations, Database Administrators, and User Interface Developers
• Interact with product owner(s) to ensure accurate requirements collections
• Interact with other Technical Leads to ensure development and adherence to company’s standards
• Interact with the Web Operations Team for release and configuration management
• Lead development team through a full project lifecycle.
• Introduce new technologies, techniques, and best practices
• Understand the vehicle logistics industry from the company’s, customer’s and vendor’s perspective.
• Promote global synergies with other regions and Central Office in adopting or supporting system initiatives or tools that improve information flow
• As member of Systems Solution team, support other IS&T functions of Systems Solutions
