BI / DW Architect/Developer

Job Description

• Design and monitor construction of an enterprise data warehouse, working with a team of engineers.
• Design and monitor construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports.
• Design and monitor construction of ETL processes.
• Establish and implement standards and strategies for data management, lifecycle, and quality.
• Explain and teach business intelligence and data warehouse concepts throughout the company.
• Define best practices and standards for the data modeling process.
• Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data models for the production and Business Intelligence data warehouse and data marts
• Participate in data design walkthroughs to communicate data warehouse and Data Mart table designs to ETL developers
• Develop prototype views and reports of the data, and work with business users both internal and external to refine their requirements
• Demonstrate self reliance in researching technical solutions and product functionality
• Continuously improve upon existing approaches by seeking opportunity to creatively transform current business practices into fresh alternative solutions
• Identify critical integration issues and develop corrective solutions
• Requires hands on development and technical guidance to project team members
• Communicate with team members to assess progress of deliverables
• Other duties as assigned

               

Requirements / Skillset

Strong experience working in Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS).	X
Strong experience designing relational and multi-dimensional models.	X
Knowledge of administration of SQL Server for transactional and analysis systems	X
Knowledge of SharePoint Integration for SQL Server  Reporting Services		X
Knowledge of Windows Servers Administration		X
Able to work remotely for distributed development teams.		X
Specific Knowledge of SCCM and Deployment Requirements for BI/DW Projects			X
